Week 2, eSFL Insider
After a long off season and a lot of wondering if the 2011 season would even happen, week one of the eSFL finally came and went. As expected the eSFL action was thrilling and surprising. Week one was also the time when each coach finally got to see how this year's draft class and two a day pickups played out. It was evident that several coaches thoroughly scouted players and put together a good team. Coach Ron Kavanaugh exemplified this as his Kavanators posted a league high 187.46 points in their week one victory. At the other end of the spectrum it was obvious Frost’s Furrious Flurries need some work, and maybe should reopen two a days. Inside the two extremes it looks as though most teams are evenly matched and should provide for another year of eSFL excitement.
Last week's Non- Division game saw the Global division throttle the Appalachian Division as the Pardue Bruisermakers beat the Vail Vigilante 175.18 to 150.7. If not for an amazing 29 point performance from kicker S. Janikowski, the final score would be more indicative, as the Bruisermakers were in control throughout the game. This week's Non-Divison game looks to be a little more competitive.
Perdew VS D
The Perdew Pulverizers represent the Appalachian division this week. As indicated in their 170.78 points in week one this is an explosive team. Not only is the team led by QB Michael Vick and the RB tandem of L. McCoy and Matt Forte, but they have a sneaky WR trio of Mike Thomas, S. Johnson and Brandon Lloyd that could explode any week. The D. Crownholders represent what looks like a strong Global division. Week one saw the Crownholders score the second most points in the league with 175.58. QB Aaron Rodgers is already in the running for Fantasy MVP. With a supporting cast that includes RB D. Mc Fadden, WR D. Jackson and TE J.Witten and throw in a stout D. This team looks unstoppable. We could be watching a preview of this year’s Ballsitic bowl. This week however a slight edge is given to the Crownholders

Pardue Bruisermakers VS Rhodes Runners
This week’s Global matchups get started with a good one. The Bruisermakers are looking like a well rounded team. Its felt the team didn’t quite produce what it’s capable of and they still have some work to do. RB Jamal Charles voiced he wanted more carries this week. If he gets them it could be a long day for the Runners. The Runners have fielded a pretty good team this year. However as of the writing of this insider it looks as though some of coach Rhodes star players are riding the pine this week. RBs Frank Gore and Tim Hightower have been replaced by Chester Taylor and no Show Moreno. And WR Randall Cob looks to be replacing Calvin Johnson. Not sure how this will play in the Runners favor. The insider is assuming this will change come game day. The game prediction is a little difficult at this point. However it does favor the Bruisermakers.

Terry the American's view
(Note: the projection below is the view of Terry, not the author of this piece) Each week Terry looks at one game of the week. The team with the + is Terry's pick to win.
In the case below, Pardue is favored by 55 points even though the Runners are expected to have more players outperform his team. This is possible of course because the large difference in Pardue's players that outperform the Runners.

Zima Ruskies Vs. McKinney Rednecks
The Zima Ruskies come into this game with some questions about their team. They were basically given a win last week by the Flurries, so they didn’t have to dig into the play book Led by Drew Brees this team can put up points in a hurry. If the RB tandem of Reggie Bush and Beanie Wells produce this week it could be a good year for Zima. The receiving corp led by Vincent Jackson and J. Finely had a quiet week last week, then again they weren’t really needed. That will change this week and both should put up big numbers as the team tries to keep pace with the Rednecks. The Rednecks lost a heart breaker last week to the Rhodes Runner. It could have been fall out over the loss of QB Peyton Manning. The team should rebound this week. QB Colt McCoy has had another week to get familiar with the offense. WRs Roddy White, Jeremy Maclin and Jabar Gaffney should see a lot of passes this week. Word around the league is that the Rednecks would like to upgrade their RBs. Coming into this week’s matchup with just LT and Ryan Matthews will be difficult. The team does have one of the better defenses in the league. On paper this game should go to the Zima Ruskies however this will be the upset of the week.

Temp's Texas Boy's Vs Frost Furrios Flurries
89.27 % of the time putting up 166 points will get a team a victory in the ESFL. Last week The Texas Boys just fell short. They will be rewarded this week. Look for QB Stafford to have one of his best games. RB Adrian Peterson will do what he always does and WRs Greg Jennings and Mike Wallace will be unstoppable. The defense will be lights out watch for LB Clay Matthews to have at least 3 sacks this week. The Flurries game plan will be to hand off and hand off some more. RB Peyton Hillis

Fields Fanatix Vs Texan Bruisers
The Fields Fanatix are coming off a beat down from the Kavanators in week one. It’s obvious the team put a lot of faith in QB Tom Brady and he didn’t disappoint posting 51 points. However other than WR Reggie Wayne and LB Mario Williams, Tom didn’t get any help. This week RB Ahmad Bradshaw will carry the load as the team doesn’t have anyone else. If Tom Brady can somehow get Terrell Owens and TJ Houshmandzadeh on the field they might have a chance. The Bruisers are a team headed in the right direction. They squeaked out a 1.8 point win last week. Led by QB Matt Schaub, RB Ray Rice and one of the best receiving corp in the league Kenny Britt, Larry Fitzgerald and Dez Bryant, the Bruisers will be a scoring machine this week.
Fanatix 142 – Bruisers 178
Viall Vigilante Vs Whitmore Workhorse
The Vigilante are still licking their wounds after last week’s debacle. To the teams credit they are fighting through numerous injuries, with the key injury being to RB Steven Jackson. The team has managed to put together a good roster for this week’s matchup. QB Ben Rothlisberger is anxious to get back on the field and prove that last week was just a fluke. He will be throwing to 3 of the best pass catchers in the game Mike Williams, Anquan Boldin and TE Owen Wilson. This team wants to throw first to open up the field for RB Chris Johnson. The Workhorse after losing last week also looks to rebound. This is a team of offensive players that aren’t flashy but they get the job done. QB Phllip Rivers, RB MJD, and WR Santana Moss should all have above average games. The strength of this team is their defense. This looks to be another close game for the Workhorse, unfortunately they will fall just short again.
Vigilante 160 – Workhorse 159
Igama Sweaty Palms haven’t gotten off to the start that was imagined. Number one draft pick Arian Foster has been injured and it doesn’t look as if he’ll get on the field this week either. RBs Willis McGahee and Felix Jones will get the start again this week. Both should be inspired for better play and that will translate into good things for Igama. At WR it may be time for Bowe and R. Williams to sit one out and look for better options on the bench such as B. Gibson and Nate Washington. QB Matt Ryan should also see improved numbers this week. On the defensive side look out for Suggs he’ll be a beast again, and could be the team’s leading scorer. The Kavanators week one couldn’t have gone much better. The team is solid on both sides of the ball. WR Wes Welker put up career stats last week. Joe Flacco looked like a top 3 QB. At running back Mendenhall should have a good game this week and it looks like CJ Spiller is getting the nod over Cadillac Williams. If that changes The Kavanators are all but assured a win. Even if Spiller remains in the lineup they should still get the win. This game will be closer than many think.
Sweaty Palms 162 – Kavanators 168

Ron, nice work. For those who don't know it, it takes a lot of time and effort to write a piece like this. And unfortunately, there are several in this league who won't even try to. Thanks Ron, your time and effort is appreciated by all.
