Week 4 eSFL Insider-2014

Week 4 eSFL Insider
By: Josh Perdew, Coach of the Perdew Pulverizers

I would love to talk about playoffs, and who I feel would be in and who is in trouble, but I am going to wait a few more weeks.   This league is in a tight race at the moment, and I still don't think anyone is officially eliminated or unable to turn this around, and make a run for it.  I see some teams with under performers, and some teams that are over performing.  Consistency will pay off in the long run, and good team management throughout these bye weeks is really a key element to remaining in the playoff hunt.  Lets take a look at the games this week, and try to determine who looks to be in, and who is outside looking in...

Texan Bruisers vs Dlugiewicz Fight'n Pollacks

The Bruisers are riding a high, with a solid 2-1 record, and their only loss coming at the hands of the powerful Runners team.  The Pollacks are a talented bunch as

well, and are rolling behind QB Peyton Manning.  Another lucky bastard gets a team with MVP Manning on the bye week.  Welcome to another easy victory for the Bruisers

with Matty Ice and his defense dropping bombs on people.  Julio would be the difference here, if they were not sharing him.  The key to victory is the return of Jamaal

Charles this week.  Look for him to run all day, and right over the Pollacks with Rapesherburger in at QB.  Bruisers 188   Pollacks 159

Money Team vs Perdew Pulverizers

This game is between two of the three lowest scoring teams in the league.  Shouldn't be much fun to watch.  Sharing the same QB in Stafford and the same RB in Doug

Martin.  Perdew is hurt with a few key starters on bye week, like all pro AJ Green, but the likes of Fitzgerald on bye is kind of a blessing.  Money Team hasnt shown

much power this season, and likely will not show much this week.  Look for the Pulverizers to get back in the hunt in the Vintage Conference with a victory this week.

Perdew 165 Money 144

Field Fanatix  vs D Crownholders

Can Fields avoid the dreaded 0-4 start to this season, with a victory against a highly underrated D Crown team this week?   DCrown has put up some serious numbers this

season, with consistant WR play.  Fields didn't get much help on Thursday with DJax only getting one catch.  This one is far from over just yet, but if the Fanatix want

to get into the win column, stud RB LeSean McCoy needs to show up this week.  Unfortunately, he is running against a tough defense, and on the other side, DCrown QB

Rivers is playing one of the worst football teams ever assembled.   Too much Rivers this week, and the Fanatix are in serious trouble!  DCrown 167  Field 162

Zima Ruskies vs Kav's Kavanators

Inconsistant QB play will play a factor again this week for Kav.  He had Cousins on the bench last week, when he erupted, and played him this week, when he was a dud.

Zima continues to dominate his opponents on his way to yet a still undefeated record this season.  Look for Rodgers to light up the scoreboard, and Graham to continue

his solid play.   Zima 189  Kav 165

Rhodes Runners vs Nachman MF
(Manning Face, Mother F@#K, Mean F@#kers??)

As of writing this, I still think this is the worst fantasy football team name, and I am not even sure what the MF really stands for...    Two teams sharing rosters again this week, with both playing QB Andrew Luck and RB LeVeon Bell.  The Runners are missing a few key starters at WR and TE, and it might cost them this week.

Nachman has the better lineup, and defense, and will pull the upset thanks to better RB play this week from Forte and Gore.   Nachman 189  Runners 185

Frost Furrious Flurries vs Temp's Texas Boys

A matchup feature two completely different squads.  Temp with two starting QB's and Frost without a good reliable start this week.  Is it enough for Temp, getting lucky

to catch Frosty without the general calling the plays at the line.  Without Peyton, the Flurries seem to be outmatched this week against Brees and company.  Temp takes

it...  Temp 187  Frost 149

If the games go as projected, Zima almost looks to be on top of the Vintage Division and Fields would be on the outside looking in.  I still feel that the other 7 teams would be fighting for it, and will continue to fight all the way into the last week of the season...   Rhodes is solid, even with a loss this week, and has plenty of depth, Texan Bruisers are a high powered squad, along with the D Crownholders.   That could be the final three in, but don't count out the Kavanators, Pulverizers or the Temp boys just yet.

Good luck to everyone in week 4!
