Week 6 Recaps, 2011

Pulverizers move to league best 6-1

Projected by Insider Matt Templin as a 30 point ass whoopin' this contest turned out as expected as the Perdew Pulverizers knocked off the Kav's Kavanators 164.88 - 129.10.  Led by LeSean McCoy (25.7) coach Perdew got solid production from his offense (110.88) and kicker Billy Cundiff added  24 special teams points in the win.  The Kavanators were led by running back R. Mendenhall with 23.9 and a pair of 16.5's from Wes Welker and Joe Flacco in the losing effort.  Perdew moves to 6-1 and Kav falls to 4-3 in the Appalachian Division that looks like a five horse race to the finish line.

Texan Bruisers hold off late charge of Vigilante's

The Vial Vigilante made a valiant effort on Monday night with David Harris but once again fall short of the mark needed to take a victory away from the Texan Bruisers.  The Bruisers move to 5-2 and jump to second in the Appalachian division with the win, 144.1-131.  He was led by star running back Ray Rice with 23.4 points and QB Matt Schuab's 18.4.  Vial was led by a pair of wide outs with Anquan Boldin putting up 21.2 and Jordy Nelson with 18.4 in the losing effort.  Vial remains at the bottom of the standings at 0-7 and blackouts are expected to continue in the next 3 home games, a common theme for the organization.  Fans were heard chanting in the post game "Fire Coach Vial" and rumor has it an anti-Coach Vial website was in the works.

Fields keeps playoffs alive, Sweaty Palms let another one slip away

Coach Bruce Fields has taken a pounding from other members of the eSFL this season for his horrific team.  He manage to put together a win this week against Igama's Sweaty Palms with a 153.06 - 131.92 victory.  Ahmad Bradshaw finally showed up for Fields, with three touchdowns and a 38.6 performance.  Team MVP Tom Brady chipped in 25.56 in the win.  Igama was led by QB Matt Ryan with 23.82 and TE Aaron Hernandez added 17.8 in the losing cause.  The defense of Igama clearly lost this game with only 19 total points from four players.  Fields defense wasn't spectacular, but it was enough to get the job done (29.5 combined).

Pardue Bruisermakers get back on winning track, knock off McKinney by 60+

Coach Ron Pardue put together team of the week honors with another stellar offensive production.  His balanced attack was led by QB Tony Romo with 22.88 and TE Jimmy Graham's 19.4.  The McKinney Rednecks, with a severe lack of depth, were forced to run backups at running back with Kendall Hunter and L Tomlinson.   The combo only put up 11.9 combined and wasn't enough help for QB Colt McCoy(24.8) and Jeremy Maclin(15.1).

Whitmore's luck stays at home, Workhorse fall to Runners
The Whitmore Workhorse have been known to pull a rabbit out of their hat on occassion but week six of the 2011 season wasn't one of those days. The Rhodes Runners, despite several coaching errors held on for a 135.76 to 117.08 victory and moved to 5-2 on the season. They were led by running back Frank Gore (25.1) and defensive standout Jarrod Allen (15). A last minute coaching change removed tight end Pettigrew (18.2) and inserted Vernon Davis (2.8) in a move that allowed the Workhorse to have a chance on Monday night. The Workhorse couldn't capatilize on the error as quarterback Donovan McNabb (8.38) sucked donkey balls and wideout D. Bess wasn't sighted until late in the fourth quarter of Monday night.

Temp sends Ruskies into panic mode

The Temp's Texas Boy's moved into a three way tie atop the Global division with a 156.92 to 142.92 victory over the Zima Ruskies. The Texas Boy's saw decent production across their box score and were led by quarterback M. Stafford's 29.82 and defensive back Kyle Arrington's 18. The losing Ruskies were pleased to see the return of wide reciever M. Colston (24.8) but dissapointed in the production of  Victor Cruz (3.2), J. Finley (3), and defensive end D. Freeney's goose egg. With the loss the Ruskies are now in desperation mode and a playoff spot looks to be out of reach with only six games remaining.

Crownholder send Frost to another loss

The Frost Furrious Flurries remained at the bottom of the Global division as the first place Crownholder did just enough to get the win. Crownholder quarterback Aaron Rodgers (35.8) was the difference in a contest that proved to be much closer than was expected. What else can be said about this contest? Nothing.
