Wonderful! Got me a STINKY FINGER!
Whitmore Workhorse (4-4) vs Perdew Pulverizers (7-1)
This game is one sided but yet a big one for the pony’s. In a must win Game for Whitmore to remain at or above .500 things don’t look good in week 8. QB Philip Rivers has looked all but good this season having thrown more interceptions than touchdowns, the team must rely on its only offensive production in MJD and Darren Sproles. In recent games this has been enough for the Workhorse to win and the matchups for Whitmore are good this week, unfortunately he plays a tougher RB duo this week in LeSean Mccoy and Fred Jackson. Averaging 60+ points a game this duo should be the only thing the Pulverizers need to win this week. Combined with QB Mike Vick and star WR Stevie Johnson, its just too much for the pony’s and they will get Saddled and Rode to bed.
Workhorse 99 – Pulverisers 155
Rhodes Runners (5-3) vs Frost’s Furrious Flurries(1-7)
The Runners look to have the edge in this one with stud RB Frank Gore and “Megatron” Calvin Johnson. These two just might put up enough by themselves to take the victory. Frost has yet to post a lineup as this article is written, but he probably doesn’t have a chance to win anyway. Since trading away Andre Johnson to the Kavanators, Frosty is left with a less than stellar WR core consisting of Ochostinko, Frenchy and Lance Moore. Turner and Gonzo are the only real bright spots left and they are on bye weeks. Look for a blowout here regardless who Frost hires in to fill an active roster.
Runners 157 - Flurries 89
Temp’s Texas Boys(6-2) vs McKinney Rednecks(4-4)
Temp will roll with a few unknowns during bye weeks with Jackie Battle as the number two RB and Damien Williams at wideout in place of Greg Jennings. This will drop his offensive numbers down a bit. McKinney has not set a lineup as this article is written, but this team is currently on a three game losing streak. Bye weeks, with the lack of depth, have hurt the Rednecks and might end up costing a playoff spot if this trend continues. Colt McCoy and Antonio Gates will be solid, but the loss of Roddy White this week will bury the Rednecks. Four game losing streak, and playoffs in jeopardy, will McKinney make a move with the trade deadline lurking. Only time will tell.
Texas Boys 142 - Rednecks 102
D Crownholders(5-3) vs Pardue Bruisermakers(5-3)
This will be a fight for a potential playoff spot in a few weeks and the winner of this one, might knock the other out as season’s end. D Crown will be without MVP Aaron Rodgers and stud RB Darren McFadden. Curtis Painter, Keiland Williams, and Lance Ball??? WTF??? Pardue will be starting Romo and his usual gang, and have the upper hand in this matchup. DCrown will need 60 out of his defense if he plans to compete in this one. Too much Brandon Marshall, Miles Austin, and Jimmy Graham in this one.
Crownholders 109 - Bruisermakers 134
Fields Fanatix (2-6) vs Igama Sweaty Palms (3-5)
In an Appalachian showdown between two teams that are on the verge of absolute season failure meet in week 8. Igama Sweaty Palms are on life support and one more loss by the Fanatix and any small hope of a playoff run and hall of fame nomination is gone. Thankfully for the Fanatix Tom Brady will be reinstated in the lineup after a week 7 bye week along with the teams only star RB, Ahmad Bradshaw. Look for Fred Davis to be huge this week for the Fanatix where his parent team faces a weak Buffalo Bills line backing core. Igama Sweaty Palms are in big trouble. Forced to start QB Matt Moore and RB Willis McGahee who will be very limited on carries with a broken forearm. The teams only production looks like it will come from WR Dwayne Bowe and RB Arian Foster, unfortunately it won’t be enough this week as the Fanatix will prevail and still remain somewhat alive in the Appalachian.
Fanataix 137 - Sweaty Palms 122
Texan Bruisers (6-2) vs Vial Vigilantes (0-8)
In a top versus bottom game Vial Vigilantes have all but admitted defeat on the 2011 ESFL season. Trading away the teams only hope for success, RB Chris Johnson and WR Jordy Nelson for 2 scrubs and a 2012 2nd round pick shows Vial has given up all hopes for a 2011 Ballistic Bowl appearance as well as a 2011 Gunner cup. Vial may get some help from QB Ben Rapesherburger, who has stepped up his game and Steven Jackson who if remains healthy can post 20+ points. Texan Bruisers are not worried, with QB Matt Schaub possibly getting Andre Johnson back this week and RB Ray Rice in the back field this is probably all the Bruisers need to win this week. Unfortunately for Vial, the Bruisers also have WR’s Larry Fitz and Dez Bryant. This should be an easy game for the Bruisers who will remain one game back from the top in a blow out.
Bruisers 177 – Vial 103
GAME OF THE WEEK
Kav’s Kavanators(5-3) vs Zima Ruskies(3-5)
As playoffs are lurking, this non division game is a must win for Zima to keep pace with the cream at the top of the Global Division. The Kavanators would like to steal another victory from the Global, but should still be in the hunt for the playoffs even with a loss. Kav made a somewhat questionable trade by ditching the starting QB Flacco for John Beck. Andre Johnson was the incentive on the deal, but he could be in trouble when he faces the powers in the Appalachian. His WR trio is as deadly as they come with newly acquired Johnson, Nicks, and always reliable Welker. The Ruskies could be playing games with the ‘nators by inserting Eli in the lineup over Brees. Newly acquisitions for Zima have improved his team and he could be a force in the Global from here on out. CJ2K joins the squad this week along with Colston, and a few other young talents at wideout. This matchup should be the game of the week. Zima will pull the upset and remain in the playoff race.
Kavanators 144 - Ruskies 151
