eSFL Insider-Playoffs-Rd 2 2011

Zima Ruskies vs Pardue Bruisermakers

Pardue barely survived last week vs Temp and had to have a scoring update to sneak into the Global Division Championship
game.  Zima took out little brother in a repeat battle of week 12 of the regular season.  I don't feel like Pardue has a chance this week to knock of the much talented Zima team with the better roster.  As you know, most of these battles come down to the wire, but this one won't.

Zima Ruskies cruise into the Ballistic Bowl with a 179-145 victory and look to capture their second title.  Unfortunately for him, the ring size is 10 and won't fit his fat fingers!

How fitting is it that the first ring in the eSFL will go to the team with a hand as its logo?  Those fingers on that helmet sure look like a size 10 to me.  That's how shit works in this league.  Igama, fresh off a monster performance vs Perdew, comes in as the underdog again this week against the powerful Kavanators.  The 'Nators will rely on the talented WR corp to lead his team, but his defense will cost him this week.  At the time of this article, Matty Ice has dropped a 30+ bomb and has a nice lead.   The Sweaty Palms will own the Kavanators this week, and march to their first title game!  Igama shuts Kav's pie hole for good with a 189-169 victory.

Not that anyone cares, but their is a Gunner Cup bracket going on this week.  We won't talk much about it, but here is the match ups and projections:

Perdew Pulverizers vs Vial Vigilante

This game probably won't matter as neither of these teams can score enough points to move to the title round, but Perdew will win this barn burner 142-138.  The only real good thing for these teams is that both squads will be eyeing next year as Vial comes into 2012 with an extra second rounder and Perdew has two restricted free agents that he will acquire in next season's training camp.

Temps Texas Boys vs Texan Bruisers

A repeat of week 11, Temp looks to get a rematch on cousin Chaz.  They were both fighting for a regular season title back then, but this game has more value in terms of financial gain.  The winner of this one, if they score enough points, will earn the right to play in the Gunner Cup Championship and a shot to earn next season's entry fee.  Temp will be limited again with injuries and Chaz will take advanatage with a healthy roster besides a QB.  It will be close, but the Texan Bruisers will move to the Gunner Cup title game with a 147-143 victory.

McKinney Rednecks vs Whitmore Workhorse

eSFL commissioner TL Rhodes will be controlling the Rednecks this week against the defending eSFL Champs Whitmore.  This will be the reason for the Workhorse to advance with Rivers stepping up in December and owning the Rednecks.  Whitmore advances to the Gunner Cup title game with a 154-134 victory and we get to look forward to an all-Appalachian Gunner Cup battle for the entry fee!
