Week 7 Recaps

Recap by Chaz Templin

Daizys lose 135.6 to 155.82

This matchup featured 2 teams tied at 3-4 and fighting to get in the playoff picture. The Oilers were able to overcome the loss of Cutler and his -1.78 performance by get a solid defensive effort of 60 points and getting a good game from Brandon Gibson. When your leading scorer is a defensive player with 24 points you know you were lucky to win. The Daizys were led by Rodgers and his 37.5 but got no help anywhere and lost this one on the defensive side by only putting up 25.5.

Crush move within 1 game of 1st place

Next we had the Crush doing exactly what their name says and crushing the Duckies and pretty much eliminating them from contention. Crush put up an impressive 202 and that was with only 23.5 points from their defense. They were led by Jackson and his 35.8 points but had plenty of help from Wilson and Green. The Duckies wasted a great performance by Luck and his 43.62 points with no one else breaking 20 and his defense only putting up 23.5, which he could not overcome.

Pollacks upset by the Humanoid

Team Humanoid moved to 4-4 and only a game behind the Pollacks for 2nd in the division. The Humaniods were led by Forte and Decker. They also won the defensive battle 33-30. They overcame the horrible effort by Brady and his 8.52 points. In the loss the Pollacks were led by Peyton of course and his 37.34 points but Powell only getting .9 cost them in this game.

Whiz Kings all but eliminate Brownskins

The Whiz Kings defeated the Brownskins and pretty much eliminated the Skins from the playoff picture. The Kings remain a game out of 1st. They were led by TE Jordan Reed and Newton and were somehow able to overcome a total of 23.3 points from their WRs to win this one. The Skins were led by Ryan and his 36.22 points but were equally pathetic at WRs with 22.2 points total from the position.

Money Team upsets division leader Rams

The Money Team upset the division leader Rams with Brees on his bye week. The Money Team keep alive their small playoff hopes with the win. This game was over at the end of the games on Sunday. They were led by a cast of players as nearly everyone got double digit points but no one broke 20. The Rams were led by Chris Johnson but got no help anywhere else.

Billiecats stop Stars winning streak

Billiecats put a stop to the Stars winning streak by beating them by 50 and keeping the division lead in the Helix division. The Stars stay in 2nd place in the Orion division with the loss. The Cats were led by the impressive performance of Stafford and Tamba Hali on defense putting up 27. The Stars finally got good performances out of Kaepernick and Gore but that is the only performances that were good. The injury to Foster and Austin getting no points doomed this team.

K's get back in playoff picture

The final matchup in the Nebula conference had the K’s beating the Bunch and getting right in the thick of the playoff picture in the conference. Both teams move to 4-4. The K’s were led by Megatron and his 36.5 points and helped by Ryan Matthews and his 20.1. The Bunch were led by RGIII but had a pathetic 17 points on defense which kept them from having a chance in this game.

Ruskies continue to roll

The Ruskies continue to be one of the better teams and beat the Riders to put the Riders outside looking in on the playoffs at this point in the season and remain in a 3-way tie for the division lead. This game was over before it even started with the Riders only scoring 102.56 points. The Ruskies were able to overcome a mistake of playing Jacobs who was inactive and still winning because of Ryan and Megatron. The Riders did win the defensive battle but lost because of the Foster injury and poor WR play. Newton and Johnson did all they could to help this team win but no one else helped the cause.

Frost puts up highest points of week

The top performer of the week was the Frost Flurries who put up an impressive 221.8 points and beating the snot out of the Runners. The puts the Flurries in the 3-way tie at the top and the loss puts the Runners at 4-4 along with a bunch of other teams. The Flurries had 3 guys get over 35 points and when you do that you will win almost every time. Those 3 guys were Rodgers, V. Jackson, and Forte and the defense helped by putting up 55.5. The Runners were of course led by Peyton but only had a couple of other guys get more than 10 and no one get to 20 and the defense only put up 15.

Bruiser remain hot!

Next up we have the hottest team in the league having won 4 in a row after starting 0-4. The Bruisers with the win pretty much eliminate the Workhorse from the playoffs and move themselves in prime position for the playoffs. The Bruisers overcame a weak performance from AP with strong performances from Rivers and Matthews and getting back Gronk helped them out. Also winning the defensive battle 31-13 helped push them over the Workhorse. The Workhorse were led by Stafford and Lynch but made a costly error by starting an inactive player in Woodyard.

Fields hold on for late win

In what turned out to be the game of the week and came down to the last minute the Kavanators fall to the Fanatix by less than a point. It looked like the Nators were easily going to win this game but Manning did absolutely nothing in the 2nd half of the Monday night game. The Fanatix were led by Charles and won this game on defense by putting up 44 points to the Nators 30. The Nators were led by a cast of characters but only had one person over 20 points and that was Fred Jackson, if Manning could of got to that 20 point mark they would of won and been in 1st place, but it didn’t happen.

Palms all but seal Gunner Cup seed  for D

The Palms sealed the playoff fate of the Crownholders by beating them in another close game and putting them with no chance of getting in without a miracle. The Palms move into a tie atop the division with the win, they were led by RGIII and Decker. While the Crownholders were led by a surprising effort from Jacquizz Rodgers and Harry Douglas only to lose because McGahee only put up 5 points.

Pardue embarrassed by Perdew

The Pulverizers embarrassed the 1st place Bruisermakers who put up less than a 100 points this week. Injuries did in the Makers as they lost both their QB and their 1st round pick Martin to injuries with the latter ending his season. Will this injury cost this team their chance at winning the division, only time will tell. The Pulverizers were led by luck and his 43.62 points and impressive games from Green and Hali. The Bruisermakers only had 2 players surpass 10 points and none score more than 15.

Temp breaks Viall win streak

The final matchup of the week had the Texas boys beating the Vigilante in a squeaker of a game. This was a huge win for the Boys and gives them a chance at keeping their playoff hopes alive. The Boys won this game on defense by outscoring their Viall 55-29. They also had a good game from Wilson which helped them pull out the W. The Vigilante were hurt when Bradford went down late in his game and was later found to be lost for the season, but lucky for Viall he has Brees coming back from bye next week.
