- Rhodes(1-1) 184.04 at Temp (1-1) 145.3
The
Rhodes Runners saw huge production from their wide receivers and were
able to take down the Texas Boy's despite a 39 point performance by
running back Reggie Bush. Rhodes was led by WR D. Bowe who scored 30.2
to win their first game of the season.
- Pardue (2-0) 192.86 at D (1-1) 154.9
The
Bruisermakers were led by Hakeem Nicks' 35.9 and quarterback Phillip
Rivers added 33 to send the Crownholder their first loss of the season.
Pardue has to be pleased with his defensive performance as two players
combined for 44 points. Free agent acquisition JJ Watt (22) and
defensive back Bernard Pollard (20) proved to be the difference in the
contest. The Crownholder were led by running back Willis McGahee (30.6).
- Whitmore (0-2) 158.5 at Fields (1-1) 213.6
The
Fields Fanatix posted the second highest team point total of the season
and sent the Workhorse to an 0-2 start. "Folk around these parts of the
world believe in this team, believe in this coach, believe in this GM,
you don't all of a sudden forget how this game is played. We had two bad
years in 10 and everyone is talking how the coach just doesn't have it
anymore, well, sit back and watch", coach Fields stated on the eSFL
Radio postgame show. The Fanatix were led by Eli Manning's 38.9 and old
timer tight end Toni Gonzalez added 20. The rest of the Fanatix were who
we thought they were, average to best. Whitmore lost their second
straight game and entering week three must be in near panic mode. A poor
outcome in week three could all but end this teams season.
- Perdew(1-1) 201.22 at Viall (1-1) 154.34
Did
the Viall team return to their old ways or did the Perdew team have
their best week of the entire season. Both are likely as the Pulverizers
had three players post higher than 30 points each in the win. Spiller
(35.5), Newton (31.82), and Foster (30.5) were to much for the Vigilante
to overcome. The Vigilante were led by Roddy White's 24.2 in a game
that was long out of reach by the time he played.
- Zima (0-2) 119.24 at Frost (1-1) 131.04
The
Frost Furrious Flurries wasn't pleased with their teams performance but
will take the win heading into week three's double headers. Zima proved
to be less than competitive with a poor performance from most all of
his players and were led in that category by quarterback Peyton
Manning's lackluster play. At 0-2 the Zima Ruskies are in desperation
mode heading into week three where a repeat performance such as this one
would all but likely set their goals at a Gunner Cup.
- Igama (1-1) 112.46 at Texan (2-0) 137.06
Every
season a team needs to win a few games they had no right winning, this
one can be marked up for the Bruisers as just one of those. A poor
performance and only 137 points were enough to send the Bruisermakers to
a 2-0 start. Neither team is worth talking about this week.
- Wallie's (0-2) 144.2 at Venom (1-1) 144.94
The
closest contest of the week was a real barn-burner. The Venom got just
enough from quarterback Peyton Manning to break the hearts of the Texas
Stars. At 0-2 the Texas Stars are in serious desperation mode entering
the week three double headers. "We held our breath all nigh, thought we
was gonna hold on, it didn't happen", coach Wallie stated after the
contest.
- Kav (1-1) 98.64 at Brady (2-0) 155.46
"
Embarrassing
week from an all pro vet! ugh week 3 cant come soon enough", coach Ron
Kav siad after the contest. The Brady Bunch moved into relax mode with a
big victory to start the season 2-0 and give their team some room
for error in the big week three that is upcoming. Led by defense
(Mathews 32, Pollard 20) the Bunch is happy with a win but must be a
little concerned with their offensive performance thus far.
- Flish (1-1) 192.96 at Klimko (1-1) 88.6
Ho hum....the Klim team didn't show up and was embarrassed by the Crazee Daizees. "
I
got the team in at 5:30 this morning, we put full pads on and i had
them run bleachers for an hour. We are now doing wind sprints, and next
we will be doing up/down mountain climbers...they need to learn that
what u did last week is never good enough..." coach Klim stated as
he was leaving his office Monday morning. The Daizees won what will
likely be one of the few times of the season and were led by Hakeem
Nicks' 35. The K's leader was 15 points, pathetic.
- Money 161.14 (0-2) at Miami (2-0) 185.56
The
Miami Brownskins rolled to 2-0 with an impressive win over a tough
Money team. Both teams came ready to play and Miami came out on top with
the wonderful play of defensive standout deQwell Jackson's 34 points.
The rest of the Brownskins were average at best, but often times that is
enough in this league. The Money team played well but came up short and
starts the season at a disappointing 0-2. Arian Fosters 30.5 wasn't
enough to prevent the team from entering week three in panic mode.
- McKevitt (1-1) 128.3 at Dlugiewicz (1-1) 174.02
The
Dlugiewicz team probably silenced a lot of critics with a 174 team
total this week and moves into week three with some slipping room at
1-1. The Pollacks were led by Victor Cruz (34.9) and Cam newton (31.82).
McKevitt never showed up.
- Orange (1-1) 153.64 at Coalition (1-1) 170.6
Coached
by Bruce Fields the Coalition took down the might Orange Crush team to
send both teams to a 1-1 record. The Coalition saw free agent wide
receiver Danny Amendola grab 15 catches for 160 yards (34) and the rest
of the squad played just well enough for the victory. "looking over the
unit before gametime I figured this team will be an average point getter
each week, they will compete", coach Fields stated. In Week three the
Coalition will be coached by Chaz Templin of the Texan Bruiser, a big
time assignment considering it is a doubleheader week.
