Insider-Week 3 2012-Non Conference

Week three is already upon us in the eSFL 2012 and it is a big one for all teams. A couple of things to point out is that (A), the league will play regular season inter-conference games for the first time in league history and (B), we have 24 teams and a lot of game reviews would be required. This weeks Insider was assigned to four individuals and after looking at this more closely it became evident that this is all but an impossible task. Therefore, I am writing a piece that will cover the non-conference matchups.
I will start with the Non-Conference games of the week:
Rhodes (1-1) at Miami (2-0)
The Runners will be faced with a big challenge in week three against one of the top teams in the entire league. The Brownskins enter the contest 2-0 and a league leading 38-8 versus everyone record. Coach Brown is fifth in the year to date coaching efficiency at 85.1 and leads the league in team power rank with a 70.5. Additionally, the Brownskins are tied for fifth in team value rank. These are power numbers to say the least, with a team weekly scoring average of 189 it is not hard to understand why this group is still unbeaten. On the other hand, the Runners barely broke 100 in week one but saw a large improvement in weeks two's 184. It is apparent this team will be fortunate to repeat the past weeks performance without a second tier running back on the roster, but coach Rhodes believes that his defense will soon come around and make the running back weakness one that can be overcome.
Prediction: Brownskins 173 Runners 152

Viall (1-1) at Brady (2-0)
The Viall Vigilante have been the leagues version of the wimp that gets the sand kicked in his face for the past several years. This season looks to be redemption time for them as the team has all the traits of a winner that has been in the gym all off-season. Week two's 154 points was a disappointment after a week one league high 220 points. For most teams 154 would be a success but so much pressure has been placed on this team by critics and fans anything less than a win seems unacceptable. The Brady Bunch is owned by Mrs. Pardue and seems to be managed by Mr. Pardue. Thus far that combination has proved to be a good one as the Bunch has jumped out to a 2-0 start and moved themselves to the top of the favorite list in the Nebula Conference. With only a 20th place year to date coaching efficiency the Bunch will have to improve on that this week to take down the powerful Vigilante team. The Brady Bunch's value rank of 160.4 leads the league with the Vigilante in eighth position at 110.5, both are championship caliber rankings.
Personnaly I believe the most important thing to look at in this matchup is the teams power rankings. Both teams are at the top of the league here, (Brady 66), (Viall 58), and on paper this should be the highest scoring contest of the week.  However, I see it as a low scoring battle that the Vigilante should come out on top in.
Prediction: Viall 143 Brady 141
The rest of the non-conference matchups and my opinion of each outcome:
Perdew (1-1) at Orange (1-1)
Good matchup. Cam Newton, C.J. Spiller, and Arian Foster are at the top of their game entering the week. Sproles and Brady are the Crush leaders. This game likely will be a blowout.
Prediction: Perdew 174 Orange 132
Igama (1-1) at W. Virginia (1-1)
Igama was world champions last season. West Virginia coaching staff has recovered from chest pains following Monday nights performance. Matchup of the 19th and 21st power ranked teams. Igama's Rodgers, Martin, and Gronkowski against the Venom's Peyton Manning and Calvin Johnson duo.
Look for Calvin Johnson to get two touchdowns. The Igama trio mentioned above will be to much for  the Nebula team.
Prediction: Igama 131 West Virginia 117
Fields (1-1) at Dlugiewicz (1-1)
Both teams come into the week off wins. Fields has not been shy about his critical opinion of the Pollacks team and it's management. Fields enters contest ranked 9th in Value Rank while Dlugiewicz is 16th. Trent Richardson, Matt Forte, and DQWel Jackson against Newton, Rice, Cruz, and Pierre-Paul. Look no further here, it's all Dlugiewicz this time.
Prediction: Dlugiewicz 183 Fields 142
Whitmore (0-2) at Money (0-2)
The good news here is that one of these teams will achieve their first victory of the season, the bad news is the loser will be in jeopardy of going 0-4 to start the season. Morris, Johnson, Cruz and Rice is an unlikely group to be at 0-4.  Arian Foster is all alone in the Money team stable. Money team (12) and Whitmore (17) are power ranked teams that have lots of room to go up. Money team has averaged 163 points through the first two weeks while the Workhorse have achieved a respectful 149 average.
Prediction: Whitmore 193 Money Team 143

Texan (2-0) at Klimko (1-1)
Texan Bruisers will have newly acquired wide receiver Danny Amendola in the lineup. Both teams are pathetic in my opinion and neither deserve to win a game. Actually the 1-1 Klimko unit is probably more deserving of a victory here than the 2-0 Bruisers. Brandon Marshall and Julio Jones will be the difference.
Prediction: Klimko 149 Texan 143
Pardue (2-0) at Kav (1-1)
Kav stepped on his pecker last week and scored a flaccid 98 points. Pardue  had two players score zero in week two and was still able to score 192. Pardue leads the eSFL in total defense. Kav leads the league in times he has stepped on his pecker.
Prediction: Pardue 187 Kav 162
Frost (1-1) at Wallie's (0-2)
Wallie's Texas Stars are in a near must win situation after losing last week by 0.24 points. Frost got their first win against Zima last week but cannot be proud of the teams 131 point production.
Texas Stars Numbers:
Offense: 205.3Defense: 51.5Average: 144.7

Frost Numbers:
Offense: 235.52Defense: 62Average: 131.04

Prediction: Texas Stars 152 Frost 141

Zima (0-2) at Standout (1-1)
Zima needs a big week or their season is in jeopardy! Coalition is the most average team in the league, coached by Chaz Templin this week. This is a power rank game that has the Coalition at 45 and the Zima unit at a league low 4.5. Coalition Rolls!
Prediction: Coalition 147 Zima 123
D (1-1) at Flish (1-1)
Likely the two worst teams in the league. Crownholder lost with a respectful 154 last week while somehow the lowly Crazee Daizees produced 192 points. I don't think the Crazee Daizees will score 192 this week in both their games combined.
Prediction: D 144 Flish's 92
Temp (1-1) at McKevitt (1-1)
McKevitt averages 148.6 per week while Temp has a 162.85 average.
Prediction: Temp 169 Mckevitt 137
