What a phenomenal opening week to start the beginning of an action packed season that is expected to be the greatest battle for glory ever. Week one showed many lopsided victories with one tight game so let’s get to the recap.
In last week’s game of the week the Pulverizes D, lead by A. Wilson, helped dominate in an easy win 169-113 over the GMAN. The wide receiving core last week for the GMAN has left Coach Bauer in a struggle to find the right combination to compete this week.
The best game of last week was certainly the heated long time rivalry between the Flurries and Texas Boys. Temp has dominated Frost since the two teams joined the ESFL in 2005. This week happened to switch the roles, The Flurries who received a late great performance by A. Miles held off the persistent Texas Boys 159-148 even with an amazing Manning performance.
The Rednecks didn’t miss a beat after a few years off from coaching. Foster and Ochocinco brought a week one victory handily against the Vialls, 151-100. The Vigilantes have some work to do before week 2’s matchups.
Pardue and his Bruisermakrs lead all teams with scoring last week with a dominating 172-118 victory against the Crownholder. The amazing thing abouth Pardue’s score was that it was done without starting QB Kolb. D’s team top scorer last week was LB Clay Matthews. The offense needs to show up or D is in for a long year.
Zima and Rhodes battle it out once again in 2010 to start the year. This year the victory goes to The Ruskies 150-124. Zima had a great week from his starting RB’s with a solid performance by Gates. Aaron Rodgers must step up for the 2008 champs to be successful, also we have heard through the rumor mill that it is possible that kicker David Buehler might no longer be with the Boot Hill Baluts squad.
The Bruiser QB and RB’s have outscored the Workhorses three by 47 points leading to the Texans 150-102 victory. Although Whitmore’s squad below the top three positions played a great game his leaders struggled and must rebound this week.
Fields does what he does and that is winning, with a huge 1-2 punch from Brady to Welker he easily handled Kav’s Kavantors 159-129. The Kav’s played a solid game and should have no worries about coming back strong in the coming weeks.
THE PICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Week two is here, good luck to all this week.
Balut vs Flurries +18…Frost had a solid performance last week with his WR’s that should continue. Rodgers will have a stronger game this week helping Balut out. Flurries win 145-140 but can’t cover the spread.
Workhorse +1 vs Vigalante…After two similar performances by these two teams last week we should an increase in offense, Randy Moss scores and Joe Flacco bounces back for a great game. Workhorse holds on 138-136.
Kavantors +8 vs GMAN…The Kav’s played well last week and will play better this week, The GMAN will continue to struggle to find the right combination, Kav’s 140-110.
Fanatix +4 vs Bruiser…This matchup will be a great battle this weekend, a true toss up in my opinion. With that said Brady has a better game than Eli…158-150.
Crownholder vs Texas Boys +16… The champ does not want to start the year off 0-2; the problem is the Texas Boys don’t either. Peyton Manning throws big and the champ’s team loses big, Temp 160-130.
Rednecks vs Rusies (even)…The Rednecks looking to get that same outrageous performance by Foster are left feeling a little disappointed after this week. Foster returns to normal numbers and Drew Brees blows up for Zima to lead him to the 153-145 victory.
GAME OF THE WEEK
Bruisermakers +1 vs Pulverizers…Week two matchup, power rankings 1 vs 2 the heavyweight battle of the week. The Pulverizers are expecting better things from Rivers and Stewart this week and Pardue is committed to Andy Reid and the Eagles QB options. This week the Vick option succeeds, The Bruise role again while River’s struggles again in week two leaving The Pulverizers at 1-1…Bruisermakers 170-155.
Everyone have a great week and good luck.
Jeff
