POSTGAME with Insider-Week 8-Nebula

By L. Wallie
Well we are in the 2nd half of the season and some teams are already booking their tickets to see the Ballistic Bowl from the stands because they have no chance of playing in the game.  So let’s get started with the Nebula Conference week 8 insider.

The 1st game is an out of conference match between Nachman and Zima that has already been covered by the Vintage insider so I see no need to write anything more about it. Winner is Nachman in this game by a wide margin. Final score Nachman 201 Ruskies 167

Next we have another out of conference game between the Pollacks and the Fanatix.

This is a game of 2 teams in completely different situations.  The Pollacks are tied for 1st while the Fanatix are just trying to keep scoring enough points to maybe get lucky and get the blackjack spot.  If we based this game by records it wouldn’t even be close, but I think this is going to be a game that will come down to the last minute.  Shady has to play better than he has at some point this season and this is the week it happens.  But after Welker dropped a dud and Peyton put up nearly 40 this will just be another lose of Fields.  Final score Pollacks 178 Fanatix 157

Next we have another game already covered in the other insider so no need to talk about it.  Winner will be Runners after Sanders went off on Thursday night.  Final score Runners 197 Igama 184

Next up we have the Coalition team going against 3 peat High 50 winner in the Vigilantes.

The Coalition team is in trouble in this game.  Julius Thomas put up a whooping 4.3 to pretty much bury the Coalition before the games even start Sunday.  The Vigilantes counter with Olsen who is the highest scoring TE so far this year and will almost certainly outscore Thomas unless he breaks his leg.  McCoy will bounce back this game but it won’t be enough for the low scoring Coalition squad.  Final score Coalition 156 Vigilante 198.

The Viall Vigilante (4-4) returned to reality after winning three straight HI 50 awards. The Standout Coalition (4-4) continue to fight for the Orion division and are now in a first place tie with Igama.

Next we have the Billiecats vs the Texas Stars, both of these teams are sitting in last place in their division so is there even a need to really talk about this game???  I guess I will give it a little air time.  They both suck and the Billiecats haven’t even felt the need to set a lineup at press time.  So for that reason alone I say the Stars finally get another win.  Stars 142 Billiecats 137.

Somehow the Psycho Billiecats are at 4-4 and only one game behind the division leader. The Texas Stars (2-4) somehow are still very much alive and in playoff contention.

The final matchup in this conference is between the Rams and the Money Team.

The Money Team might possibly be the worst team in the league this year.  I mean they are starting Tre Mason at RB come on man.  They at least got off to a good start with a solid Thursday performance from Hillman, Allen and Weddle, but this game is still going to be a blowout and over before the 3pm games even start. Final Score Rams 187 Money Team 137.

The Houston Rams set a single game scoring record with the most points recorded since the 2000 season. The record will be documented in the FLEX era category of records. Congrats to the Rams, but something tells me this record will not stand long. The Money team sucks.
