POSTGAME with Insider- VINTAGE-WEEK 8

ESFL VINTAGE WEEK 8
By J. Frost

Here we go, week 8 of the ESFL’s 15 season. We are closing onto the last quarter of regular season action. There is a lot of football left to be played but the playoff picture is starting to take form in this conference. All three division leaders stand at least two games clear and will strive this week to maintain those comfortable division leads. The Boys from Texas round out the current playoff picture and are a very good team. From the camp in Texas Matt was quoted as saying “Ruskies, haha, they ain’t shit”. The Bruisers, Pulverizers, and Crownholder need a ton of work and a ton of luck, but things happen especially in the ESFL. For the Kav’s and Fields teams, nothing needs to be said…On to the previews.

GAME OF THE WEEK

As of the release of this insider Manning Face and the Ruskies are playing a game of cat and mouse. Neither of these squads has verified their team’s current weekly lineup. Over the last 5 games Nachman’s bunch have averaged over 195 points a game where Zima’s have a whopping 165. Pittsburgh defense is awful so expect a huge day from Luck and Forte is playing that soft Pats defense so he will also get his. Zima’s only change is if Rodgers puts up 75.8. Nachman 197 Zima 170.

Nachman MF (6-2) enhanced their playoff opportunities with seven touchdowns and 34 defensive points to take down the Global division leading Zima Ruskies (6-2). The Ruskies battled back on Sunday night but were letdown from a poor Jordy Nelson performance. The MF team continues to prove that rookie head coach Nachman knows the fantasy game.

Bruisers need a win bad to stay alive in the playoff hunt in this conference. It’s unfortunate that they have to go up against Frost Flurries. Matt Ryan could produce a big day vs that Lion secondary, which could lead to Julio putting up monster numbers, but where does the rest of the points come from. Peyton will be Peyton and toss ridiculous amounts of TD’s and Ben Tate will secure 25 against that Oakland and Murray runs against the Skins. Frost cruises with ease 202-168.

The Texan bruisers (3-5) lost their fourth straight game and the Frost Flurries (6-2) won their fifth in the past six contest to remain on top in the Appalachian division. The win guarantees the Flurries no worse than a .500 record and a tie for the division crown. The Bruisers on the other hand, once was a team considered the best in the Virginia division, now is looking at a win out situation to take the title.

Perdew wears their alternate uniforms while the 'Nators will go old school with leather and no pads.

The Pulverizers have showed bits of having a good team this season but those bits have been far and few between. The Kavs on the other rely on Tony Romo and relying on Tony Romo is always a bad thing in the end. Forte has another great game and Griffen might get another 3 sacks vs the Bucs. Pulverizers 168-Kavs 141

Perdew (4-4) had the running backs and the Kav Kavanators (2-6) have another loss. Perdew continued his drive toward a blackjack playoff spot and kept the heat on the Virginia division leader. Kav played as well as they could, it just isn't good enough when your running backs are dog food.

Big playoff implications!!!! While the first four of D’s games were started off with monster scores this squad has cooled off as of late. On the other hand The Boys’s have been on a tear since their 200 point outing that resulted in a loss. Temp’s have a good problem who to start at QB? I don’t think it matters both put up great games and Thomas will score 25 against the Chargers. Crownholders need Jay Cutler to yank his head out of his ass and play, he will against New England and that will help keep it close. But JJ Watt will do something to score again and Temp edges closer to that division title. 189-179

Temp's Texas Boy's (5-3) saw a A. Morris second half touchdown lead them to their fourth straight win and within on game of the first place Zima Ruskies in the Global division. The Crownholder (2-6) has now entered a win out scenerio for any playoff chances to become reality.

Pollack stays even with Nachman, Fields fail again. 168-140

Coach B.G. Fields demonstrated he will not give up regardless of his teams 2-5 record. "We will play this out until the final game", he stated after the win.

Runners wearing their alternate uniforms this week!
Big game with the battle of division leaders. Both these teams want to maintain course and press the leaders in their conferences to try and win the conference. You will hear the announcers call Luck to Hilton 12 times for 156 yards and 2 scores against Pittsburgh, huge day. WhThe Runners (6-2) continued their consistent offensive output and put away the less than complete Igama Sweaty Palms (4-4). The Runners have a two game lead in the Virginia but have many concerns entering critical bye weeks and late season resting of players possibilities.ile that might seem great for Igama its FANTASTIC for The Runners. Luck, Hilton, and the 2 Steelers that Rhodes has will have big days. Rhodes 211-183

Leaders maintain their pace and Temp pulls a little further from the field in search of that last playoff spot while sneaking up on Zima to try and win the division. Good luck and enjoy Week 8.

  1. Darn good piece. I like seeing an article that was written by someone with both common sense and football knowledge. I will read this blog every week!
