NOTE,
This piece has been edited in respect for Mike Dlugiewicz, who is known as "Pork Chop". Therefore Perdew cannot legally have the same nickname
can he?
Josh "Bubba Burger" Perdew has been spotted! After a tough divorce last week with the eSFL front office, and removal as the official league correspondent, Mr. Perdew has finally come out of seclusion. He was spotted early sunday morning (2 a.m.) outside a local tavern with a large bucket of  roses. `A beautiful rose for the beautiful lady?`, he was overheard asking passers-by. When recognized and confronted about his issues with the league, he snarled `I dont know what youre talkin` about...`. After some chiding he finally admitted it was indeed him, and he was just trying to make a living. He admits that his addiction to hamburger (Bubba Burgers) led him down a dark path, and ultimately lost him his job. ` I NEEDED `em, you don't understand, just one more...just one more, fu** the assignment...`. Perdew shamefully admitted to placing the phone in his crouch during live call-ins just to take a bite of a Texas shaped Bubba Burger on more than one occassion. His antics led up to a series of reprimands, and ultimately got him fired. He did acknowledge to seeking help recently, and is now totally off Bubbas "they`re nothing but trouble, spent a whole week trying to cut a piece of bread into the shape of the burger". He says he fills the void with gummy bears, and would love to be reconsidered for his old position. Perdew happily recants the `good old days` and `fun times` he had in the league. He commented he would remain open to a pay cut and his old position back if it came down to it.
UPDATE: Recently while reporting to duty via the guard shack, an unrevealed witness claims that upon approaching the shack Perdew was seen flinging something into the weeds, hoping not to be seen. Several bloody Bubba Burger wrappers and empty packaging was later recovered by Swick on his hourly inspection of the area. It appears the worst is true. Swick counted 17 Bubba Burger seperator papers and the empty box. The question is where are the other 7 paper seperators, did Perdew eat them with the burgers in his haste to feed his addiction? Also, there was not a single sinew of meat residue left on any of the 17, meaning either Perdew licked em dry or a stray dog is on the loose behind the shack. If Perdew can`t overcome his battle with Bubba Burgers, it appears his correspondent career may be over...for good.

Notes
Frost beat the Ruskies in week two and is 8-6 in regular season matchups.

When the Zima Ruskies acquired wide receiver Calvin Johnson via trade prior to week four they were ranked 14th in wide receiver points. Now rolls week nine and they are ranked 17th and Johnson has a 19.5, 6.4, and 7.6 game log. If anyone believed that Johnson was a season saver and would turn any team into a contender look no further. Johnson will have his days and another great season when all is said and done, but no player at the wideout position is guranteed anything on a weekly basis. The Flurries enter week nine in desperat need of a win. Another loss pretty much ends any hopes of a wildcard unless it is by blackjack, highly unlikely with the teams current points fielded situation.

Notes
This will be the 15th regular season meeting between Temp and Rhodes coached teams. Temp has a lifetime 7-7 record versus coach Rhodes including a loss in week two this season.

Don't look now but the Temp's Texas Boy's have turned a sluggish start around and look to be a lock for the playoffs. They will attempt to win two games in a row for the first time this season against a Runners team that is flying high with last week's upset victory over the previously unbeaten Pardue unit. This is a huge game for the Runners and if they fail to win it the season is likely over. It appears a blackjack would not be within grasp of the Runners, so earning a second wildcard is likely a must.

Notes
Texan is 2-1 lifetime (regular season) against Igama to include a week two win this season.

The Texan Bruisers are the best team in the eSFL. It's a miracle they have lost any games. Last week they scored an unbelievable 126 points in victory, they should have no trouble matching that this week, a championship caliber team for sure. The Igama Sweaty Palms are coming off three big weeks and two of them were wins. They are back in the playoff picture and a serious threat to repeat as Ballistic Bowl champions. Sorry Igama, the Texan Boy's have way too much firepower. Look at their numbers:
For the past 4 weeks they have failed to exceed 128
They have had 5 weeks of 137 or less
If the Texan Bruisers had played the schedule of the Viall Vigilante
they would
be at 2-7.
If the Texan Bruisers had played the schedule of the Rhodes Runners
they would
be at 3-6.
If the Texan Bruisers had played the schedule of the Igama Sweaty Palms
they
would be at 3-6.
The Texan Bruisers have a pathetic 71-113 record vs everyone each week
(That’s
19th of 24 teams).

Pardue leads all time regular season matchups 6-5 to include a win in week two this season.

Pardue Bruisermakers enter the week with a loss next to their name for the first time this season after losing to the Rhodes Runners in week eight. It wasn't as though the Runners beat the Bruisermakers,  the MFIC simply failed to show up. Week eight was the only week all season the MFIC hasn't scored at least 140 points and I cannot imagine it happening two in a row. For the Crownholder this is a matchup team ownership has been looking forward to since a week two drubbing. With a two game hold on the division's first wildcard the holders are not in dire need of a win here, and it is a
good thing. This game will be decided by the defense, if Pardue can get his normal 45 from it he wins.

Notes
Perdew beat Viall in week two and leads the all-time head to head matchups 7-2.

Just a few weeks ago the Perdew Pulverizers looked (and sounded) like a team
that was on it's way to great things. Three straight weeks of around
135 and all losses, it appears this unit is in trouble of qualifying
for a playoff spot in the tough Appalachian Division. The opposite can
be said for the Viall Vigallante. The Vigilante is a team who has had
only two bad weeks all season (3 and 6) that cost them three losses.
Ranked fifth in Value Ranking the Vigilante should not be overlooked
and I expect to see them still playing meaningful football late in
December for the first time in franchise history. This week will be
another bad luck situation for the skulls, Perdew breaks the losing
streak and his silence.

Fields is 7-4 in regular season games against Whitmore including a week two win this season.
The Fields Fanatix was riding high with a 5-2 record and all was good in the world. After winning their fourth game of the season they have failed to post more than 131 points and are now at 5-4 and struggling to be a playoff team. Last weeks loss was a huge disappointment as the team could have taken sole possession of first place in the Appalachian division and sent a message to the Texan Bruisers that 135's aren't enough. Unable to do that the Fanatix look toward week nine and the Workhorse. The Workhorse has lost three straight even though in two of those weeks they scored over 150 points. Ranked 12th in the power poll, the Workhorse are only one game behind a playoff spot and two from second place Fields. I just don't see the Fanatix having enough firepower this week. The Workhorse will have five players near or exceed 20 points while the clowns will likely have but one.

When this contest is finished there will be no doubt who the last place team is in the Orion division, or will there? Last meeting between these two almost resulted in a tie and is a real possibility in week nine. West Virginia has lost five in a row, make it six after this week.

Notes
Week two of 2012 was only previous meeting between these teams, Coalition won 170-153.
The Coalition appears to be one of the top teams in the league while the Crush look like one that hasn't figured it out completely. However, one simply has to look at the points against category to
see why the Crush have a 4-5 record. The Crush average 157 points per week and are looking to make a statement against the division leader. Joel Viall will coach the Coalition. If you were to base the outcome of this contest-using past Viall coached teams, then the Crush would win. Viall entered 2012 as the worst coach in eSFL history based on win percentage (.278) of coaches with more than 25 games. That should not matter this week, the Coalition is missing tight end Gronkowski but Pettigrew should fill in with 10 or so.

Notes
Week two win for Dlugiewicz was the only meeting in history between these teams.

The Fighting Pollacks try and break a two game losing streak in which they didn't
exceed 120 points in either game. The bright spot for them is that the
lowest output the previous three weeks, all wins, was 163. With three
playoff spots up for grabs in the division this game will go a long way
in deciding who gets one and who doesn't. The Meatstyx need points more
than wins to strengthen their position for a blackjack playoff birth,
but this team is still in the middle of the race and could earn one of
the top two wildcard spots.

Only meeting in history was week 2 this season, Miami won 185-161.
Of all the teams in the league with winning records none are more deserving than
the Miami Brownskins. If you add his position rankings up the total
would be an astounding 43! The weak spot of this team is no
doubt the running backs, an area that has yet to hurt the team.
However, this week I believe the point total difference between his
RB's and his opponents will be so great a win will be unlikely. The
Money Team is no slouch themselves, positioned 11th in the Power Rank,
4th in Value Rank, and 10th in the What if versus everyone (101-83).
Like I said, the Brownskins running backs will really hurt their squad
this week.

In the only previous meeting between these teams, Kav was beaten by the Bunch
in week two this season 155-98.

The Bunch took a beating last week at the hands of the Standout Coalition even though they scored 151 points. This week’s opponent will not provide nearly the resistance as last weeks, and any resistance it does provide will be futile. The Nators are out of the cellar in the Orion division for the first time in many weeks, unfortunately for them they likely will return there for the start of week 10.
