Ballistic Bowl 15 Postgame

Without a doubt, Ballistic Bowl XV will be remembered as one of the most monumental events in the history of the eSFL. The league owned Standout Coalition defeated the leagues oldest franchise, the Rhodes Runners in a tight and exciting contest. The Coalition, led by coach Ron Pardue, drafted by coach B. Fields and T. Rhodes, overcame many obstacles during the season and proved that domination is not mandatory in fantasy football. In this game both teams saw disappointing performances and neither witnessed a single player that could be determined to be the MVP of the game, therefore the league has announced one will not be named for this one.
Entering Monday Night Football the Coalition had a 29 point lead and the Runners were left with DB Ryan Mundy. The odds of him scoring 30 for the win was not very high, as only 5 defensive backs have reached the feat on the 2014 season. Mundy made his presence known with 15.5 but fell short. The Coalition saw their kicker get 20 and Tom Brady matched Andrew Luck for the win. Entering the contest many thought the Runners would need 50 on defense to win, they scored 44 and 50 would not have been enough. 44 would have been more than enough with an average performance from TY Hilton or Emanual Sanders, but one could point out where the Coalition could say the same about a few players..
In the end, everyone is rewarded with the Coalition win as next years award pot will start at 2,457.00 rather than zero.

Gunner Cup V-Finals-Rd 1-2014

The final two weeks of Gunner Cup V are non head to head elimination, meaning no team will be eliminated with a loss. The team with the most points fielded in the final two weeks will be crowned the champion. But, head to head does have importance as the winner of each contest will be rewarded an additional 30 points.

Igama Sweaty Palms (6-6, 2-0) is likely the most powerful team remaining in the Cup and most consider the Zima Ruskies (8-4, 1-1) the weakest. Igama just missed out for a playoff birth while Zima qualified as the Vintage Blackjack and lost in round one to Frost. This week Igama looks good and Zima looks like a turd again. For Igama, Hilton, Calvin, Murray, Ryan, and the rest of the crew will explode over 200. For Zima his boy's will be lucky to reach the 145 mark, which will all but eliminate any chances of a Cup title.
Igama 231  Zima 147

It is well documented that the Perdew Pulverizers (5-7, 2-0) hold the Gunner Cup in high regards and the Nachman (8-4, 1-1) unit has a terrible team name.  Nachman is in for a battle this week as Perdew looks to hold an edge at all positions except quarterback. The good news for both teams is neither will be eliminated with a loss and both are candidates to compete for the title. I like Perdew in this matchup but believe Nachman will probably finish higher among the two in the final GC standings.
