2013 eSFL Draft!

The 2013 eSFL drafts will be held on 16 18 Aug and 23 25 Aug at 0900 eastern time.

The Vintage Conference draft will be held on 16  18 August at 0900 Eastern Time!

The Nebula Conference Draft will be held on 23  25 August at 0900 Eastern Time!

If you had a team last year you will be in the same conference unless you absolutely cannot make the draft date of that conference (contact me). Teams changing conferences is a last resort option and NOT ALL TEAMS CAN CHANGE conferences for various reasons. So, get it resolved and be there for your draft day!

Also, team owners may have a team in each conference on an as needed basis to fill the league. However, new team owners usually is our preferred method of filling both conferences. I will start sending team request sometime around July 27th.

The Nebula conference will have a league controlled team as last year and will be called the Standout Coalition. The Vintage Conference may also have a league controlled team, unknown at this time. If a league controlled team wins any award that award will be carried forward to next years award. More to come.

2013 eSFL Draft Dates!!!

The 2013 eSFL drafts will be held on 18 Aug and 25 Aug at 0900 eastern time.
We will hold two drafts as we did last season, one for the Nebula Conference and one for the Vintage Conference.
Please let me know if you plan to participate this season or if you are out. The sooner I know this the better the league will be.
We hope to have a min of 24 teams as last season, and if we have enough people we will go a max of 32. 32 will be 16 teams per conference, a number we used in past single conference seasons with a lot of success. If there are openings owners may have a team in each conference if they wish. Each Conference will have one team ran by the league, if that team wins the money will go into next seasons award pot.
Following the draft two-a-days will begin on 28 August and run until 31 Aug.

Let me know if you have any new folks who wants to play and we will do our best to get them in.

Zima wins Ballistic Bowl XIII

Zima Ruskies
176.06

 Orange Crush
147.78

Ballistic Bowl XIII was a fitting contest, brother vs brother just as the NFL Super Bowl was this season. The Zima Ruskies won their second Ballistic Bowl in a high scoring affair and coach Jesse Zima become only the third coach in eSFL history to win two titles. The wonderful thing for the Ruskies was the payout, the largest in eSFL history, by a long shot. The winning team cashed out over 2,100 credits and received a custom designed championship ring valued over 150.00 credits.
The league expansion from 14 to 24 teams brought many changes, two conference play, new divisions, new teams and owners, but an old school coach was the only one standing in the end.
The Ruskies season can be broken down into two parts, the Adrian Peterson side, and the Calvin Johnson side, both together led this team to the title and into the league history books.

Middle Finger U Wins eSFL II, Standout Bowl II

Team Middle Finger U has won their second straight eSFL II playoff league title with a twisted finish.

With a 20 point lead entering the final week, Super Bowl week, the U held off the Bunch of Bums and quarterback Kapernick to gain the title. The Bass Turds actually would have won by less than two points but team management failed to make entry fee, for the second straight season. They were disqualified for the final week of play and finished fourth.

Commish Website Issues

Over the past year and a half the eSFL commissioner web site has been redesigned and now it is in the process of downgrading. The commissioner has decided that the best use of the estandoutleague.com domain the league owns is that of a storage area. The amount of effort and time that was required to upkeep the site as it was last season is not feasable for a site that 15 people go to occassionally. Therefore, the changes discussed below have been or will be implimented for the estandoutleague.com website:

A. The site is going to be a single site, a blog basicly.
In the past there were numerous sites to maintain, eSFL Social, estandoutleague.com, eSFL Insider, etc..

This change means you go to www.estandoutleague.com and will find both the INSIDER, SOCIAL, and COMMISSIONERS WEB PAGE all there.

B. All league pages linked to will be simple HTML rather than PHP or any other markup language.

This makes upkeep very easy, backup very easy. The frontpage will be a blog, the league links will be html documents stored on estandoutleague.com.

C. At this time there will b no login required unless you wish to post a new article. Contact the commissioner for registration details if you wish to post.

There are many changes, I think everyone will be pleased.
