Fields is 9-3 lifetime in regular season meetings
Fields is 4-2 lifetime in postseason games (non playoff)
These two coaches have never met in a postseason game
Fields ranks 10th in total points while Perdew checks in at 13. Both teams are also near the middle of the pack in POWER RATING, Fields at 10 and Perdew in 14th position. On the surface these teams are where they belong, in a Gunner Cup event. However, it appears to me that Fields has a playoff caliber roster and one has to only look at points against (2320-second highest in league) on the year to find the answer to the question of why they are here rather than in the playoffs. Perdew can blame an inconsistent offense and non-existent defense on his record and position at this time.
This week Perdew has all the reason to believe they will win, based on the ways Seatle is playing defense trhe past few weeks, and that Fields has several players going against them. I expect this to be near the lowest output of the season for the Fanatix and Perdew advances to round three of Gunner Cup 5.
Perdew 164 Fields 143
These teams have never met in regular, postseason or playoffs
Kav is 3-2 lifetime in postseason play
Nachman MF (8-4, 0-1) won the Nebula Conference Quasar division and posted an outstanding 213 in round one of the playoffs against the Houston Rams. Unfortunately for the MF, 213 wasn't enough and they dropped to the GC second round. The Nachman unit has taken lots of heat this year, people downgrading his roster and his team name. He proved he belongs in the league by winning the Quasar and almost upsetting the heavily favored Rams in the playoffs. This team relies on Andrew Luck, L. Bell, and M. Forte along with the 3rd ranked defense in the Nebula Conference. The Nators were dealt many blows this year, C. Johnson injuries, A.P. drama, and more, but coach Kav has hung in there and is likely one of the hottest teams in the league. His win in round one of the Cup just may be proof luck has finally came to be on his side, winning the game on a last play interception.
I like the Nachman unit, if they get any production from a week WR group they should be hard to beat. The Nators need C. Johnson and Romo to play well, and get a lot of unexpected production to compete with MF.
MF 187 Nators 156
M. Templin is 4-0 lifetime in postseason play
J. Zima is 5-4 lifetime in postseason play
These teams spilt two meetings this year
Head to head lifetime these teams are 10-10
Temp (8-4, 0-1) versus Zima (8-4, 0-1), imagine that....Is it me or does it seem these two teams have been at one another all season? Zima started the season with a three game lead on the Texas Boy's in the Global division and lost that lead on the final week of the season. The Texas Boy's posted 222 in round one of the playoff with 62 of those from the defense. Temp beat Zima in week 12 to take the Global division based on points tiebreakers as Zima could not hold the mentioned three game lead. Zima is a team who honestly only has three players worth being on a championship roster, Rodgers, Nelson, Graham (who is questionable in that role). Zima has not posted a lineup yet, but I cannot see how it would match up with Temp's, Brees, Morriss, Lacy, Thomas, Anderson, and others. This should be an easy win for Temp and send coach Zima back to re-evaluate his way of building a roster.
Temp 196 Zima 167
Funny how things work in fantasy football. Viall (6-6, 0-1) and Igama (6-6, 1-0) both moved from the Vintage Conference into the Nebula this year and here they are facing off in a winner vs loser Gunner Cup game. Viall won three straight HI 50 awards this year and was the Nebula Blackjack rep. His performance was pretty week in round one and he lost to the Coalition 173-150. His roster is capable of putting up 300 but the issue with this unit is consistency. Igama likely has the best roster in the league, yes, I just wrote in the league. The only reason this team isn't in the playoffs is their quarterback play.
Igama 225 Viall 142
