Week 7 Preview, 2009

Breaking News.

ESFL beat writer Jimmy Snodgrass has learned that Balut Head Coach was found in the parking lot of the Blind Duck passed out with an empty bottle of pain killers and an empty bottle of Johnny Walker Red. Witness testimony indicates that due to an 0-6 record, TRhodes was down in the dumps and worried about losing his job as head coach and GM of the Boot Hill Balut. Witnesses say T Rhodes left the bar around 2 a.m. Officials received a call around 4 a.m. by a mistress who filed a missing person report. Authorities later found T Rhodes unconscious in his vehicle in the parking lot. Stay tuned for further updates

Now on to business.Week 7 will bring some interesting match ups. As teams begin to find their niche the fans will experience some competitive football this week.

BRUISERS VS RUSKIES
The Ruskies are looking rusty. They need to get some production out of Terrell Owens and their defense to overcome their slump. The Bruisers have a solid offense and a sub-par defense. Look for Vernon Davis to have a big game this week. The edge goes to the Bruisers: 131-114

WORKHORSE VS FLURRIES
Whitmore has a leagues best 5-1 record. Peyton Manning has proven to be one of the superior QBs of all time. Whit also boasts two solid RBs. The Flurries are riding the coat tails of Drew Brees. He is without question having a phenomenal year. However, if Drew has a bad game Marques Colston is sure to follow. I do not foresee anyone slowing down the high octane offense of the Saints. Therefore, the Flurries get the nod. 142-139

KAVANATORS VS TEXAS BOYS
This is an easy one to predict so I will keep it simple. The Kavanators SUCK! The Texas Boys win big 172-104

PULVERIZERS VS BRUISERMAKERS
It is no secret that the Pulverizers are one of the highest scoring teams YTD. However, their record does not indicate such. Jones Drew proves to be a tough matchup for opposing defenses. The Bruisermakers are coming off of a straight up ass whoopin from the Fanatix. They are looking to bounce back from this embarrassment. I think their team will be fired up and ready to play. I expect AP to have a huge game and this will be too much for the Pulverizers to overcome. Brusiermakers 147 Pulverizers 133

BIG D VS CROWNHOLDER
This should be a close game. Big D comes into week 7 with a 3-3 record and the Crownholders are 4-2. Only 2 points separate them in the YTD points category. I believe Big D comes out on top, 139-137

*Game of the Week*
The game of the week places will take place between the most storied rivalry in the league. The Fanatix VS Balut. The Balut has experienced some of the worst luck known to man. Injuries have dissipated this team all year. The Fanatix are proving once again to be top teams in the Appalachian Division. These two teams meet for the first time since playing in last years Ballistic Bowl, where Balut embarrassed the Fanatix. Given the setbacks the Balut have suffered this year, I expect them to come away with their first win of the season this week. The Balut has seemed to garner up some support after his recent overdose attempt. I think his team will be fired up for this rivalry game. The Balut will be victorious 134-122.
