Insider-Vintage-Week 10 2013

Thanks to Kav for writing the Insider. No Kav, it's not the LESFL.

Insider week 10 eSFL Vintage

Workhorse VS Perdew

Will this be the week the work horses gets off the sly? 2 Win workhorses faceoff against the 5-5 Pulverizers, and it doesn’t look good for the once defending champ Worhorse. Luck has a full week of practice to click with TY as # 1, and they face the struggling Rams, but Matt Stafford for the horses is playing at the Bears were he seems to always have his best road games at Solider Field. I give the slight edge at QB to the Pulverizers. Huge advantage at WR, RB, and TE for the Pulverizers.
I give the defense nod to the Horses and the kicker position is even. Unfortunately for the Horses, I see their playoff hopes completely gone after this loss, as they head one step closer towards ESFL futility.

Vial VS Frost

One of the League’s top matchups pits two rivals from year’s Past.. The 5-5 Vial would love to end the run of the playoff bound, Frost Squad(6-4). From the top of their starting line-ups to the bottem of their benches, these are the deepest two teams in my opinion. The QB position is strong for both sides, but I would give the nod to Breese unless if the defense put 13 players and a fully armoured mech vehicle on the field. The WR position would be a wash if it were not for the very favorable matchups that Frost has. The RB position is both side’s Achilles heal if they have one, but if he does not frosts Grham is a solid top 5 and growing at the position, and the “Texans draw Cards this week, so expect Grham to spread like spring break, Cancun. The Warriors needed a little work at kicker and defense by press time, but frost will grab more points at these positions.
This is a tough one to call, but who can go against Breese and the Saints this week? I’m picking them until they lose again, but this should be a high scorer…

Kavanators VS PARDUE

I have never seen a week be so devastating as it is for the 7-3 ‘Nators as they face up against the Pardue bruisermakers. The nators have junk QB’s bad RB’s this week and WR’s are screwed! One teams loss is another’s gain, as the Bruisermakers are desperate to Lock up the playoffs top spot. QB, WR and TE nods are the only position the Bruisermakers win this week, as it looks like they will have to lay down this week, lick their wounds and gear up for week 11. We’ll have to see if the Nators even try to fill their squad with last minute unexpected WR’s on their starting roster, but it might not even be in manager Kavs best interest to do so since his other positions are so much stronger than pardues.. Nator’s big in this one with the blowout of the week… Kav 155 Pardue 110

Temp vs Rhodes

It has been a tough year for the one time back to back defending champs, but the 3-7 Temps are sitting in a pretty good spot for this weeks matchup as they meet up with the upstart, Commish, Rhodes Runners. Both squads are strong and remain favorites, in my opinion, to sneak into the playoffs. QB position is nearly a wash, but I really like Russell Wilson up against the struggling Falcons, so I give the slight edge to Temp. Big advantage to the Runners at WR with Cotchery against Buffalo, and White and Randle. RBs are close, but I like Ellington, and Bell is an absolute monster, so the edge goes to Rhodes. TE is huge advantage for Coach Rhodes this week and Temps Walker continues to look worse every week. No huge advantage in kicker or defense, but if pressed, I would chose the Runners roster on these positions. I see Temp the going down in this one in another high scoring battle.

Bruiser and Crownholders

In a huge game for both sides to keep up in the playoff hunt, the Bruisers square up against Crownholders. I have the advantage of knowing that Peterson already posted a whopping 27pts at press time, but I don’t think Crownholders will lose too much here, as Murrygoes up against the saints this week. Big WR advantage to the Bruisers in this one, and I’m also going to give the slight edge to the Bruisers at QB as well. Rivers vs. Denvers D’less squad has Coach Templin licking his chops. I actually like the Bruisers at every position this week, as the big night from Petersen and the huge advantage at TE with Fleener over Clay will give the Bruisers the “W”.

Fields VS Zima

The game of the week pits the Fantatix (5-5) against the 2nd place Zima(7-3).
The matchup is pivotal for both sides as we have crossed over the halfway point of the season, and Fields needs a win if they want to keep pace with the Close notched Vintage division playoff races. The Romo homo is looking good this year, but Ryans draw against the Niners makes the QB position a wash due to all the yards he should get in garbage time. WR edge goes slightly to Zima, and with Charles having his bye week, RB position also slightly goes to Zima. Zima gets the edge at TE as Vernon Davis is straight money vs.
ATL. Defense looks to be a major advantage for Zima as well in this matchup, and I believe it will be enough to pull one over on the all time win leader. Ziman 162, Fanatix 148

Igama vs RR

Crucial week for the Rough Riders as his playoffs hopes are diminishing slowly. RR will need a stud effort from Cam Newton if he plans on making this last ditch effort towards the playoffs after Griffins big Thursday night game. Golden Tate will need to step up and be the WR he once was to keep pace with the Igamna this week. Igama will be tough this week with Welker looking to get back to his normal self. Expect Stacy and Morris to provide the extra firepower to help out Welker. Ultimately this game will be determined by Cam Newton and his ability to reach the endzone. Igama Remsins as they edge out RR 153-139
