Insider-Nebula-Week 11-2013

This weeks Nebula Insider is being written by T. Rhodes as a favor to the Viall owners who say they are to busy to do it...........

Did you ever wonder what it would be like to be in a fantasy football league that you could bring home a $10,000 prize? Well, that's what the eSFL is planning for the future of the league. Although details are a long long way from being figured out, I will tell everyone a few ideas I have and how we will pull it off.

Everyone wants to be in a big payout league don't they? But everyone doesn't want to be in a league with a big entry fee that's for sure. So how does one create a league that would have a huge payout without to many teams or to large of an entry fee? That is the question I have been bouncing around in my head for the past 12 years or so. I think I have finally came up with a base, but one that needs tweaking and input. Here is the idea:

1. Every 5th year the league will hold the "Big Kahuna Bowl".

2. The league would be 14 teams each year
-The entry fee would be 300.00 per season.
With 14 teams that would be a pot of 4,200 per season.
-Each season the Ballistic Bowl winner would win 1,500
The remaining 2,700 would carry over every season.

So, after four seasons the league pot that carried over would be 10,800.

3. Now we have positioned ourselves for the Big Kahuna Bowl.

-Every fifth eSFL season would be the Big Kahuna Bowl.
-Entry fees for this season would be free for all owners who played in the past four seasons.
-For new owners it would still be 300.00. New owners can only win 1,500 or 15 percent per season they participated in the four year span. (Example: if a new owner came in in season two, participated seasons two, three, and four, they would be eligible to win 60 percent of the pot in season five.)
If a new owner was to win, the Big Kahuna Bowl would take place the following season with all but 1,500 carrying forward.

If you were an owner for all four years you would have paid in 1,200. If you won no Ballistic Bowls in that period that would mean your 1,200 could win you 10,800! If you were good enough to win all four Ballistic Bowls and the Big Kahuna Bowl you would bring in an amazing 16,800 in a four year period!!!!!! Let's not forget, there would also be transaction fee money to add to the pot. If the Gunner Cup was kept that money probably would go towards it.

So, that's the overview. Of course there would be a lot of  issues to resolve. The league would have to create a bank account or some way for at least two other league leaders to be able to access the money in case the commissioner shits the bed in that period. At least two other people would have to be able to run the league as well.

A simple overview of this structure is this:
300.00 entry fee with 14 teams.
Ballistic Bowl winner every year gets 1,500 with the rest carrying over.
After four years the carried over money is the pot with zero entry fee for four year owners.
If a non four year owner wins year five they only win 15 percent per season they participated of those four.

Let me know what you guys think and any ideas!

Now, a quick look at this weeks games:

Klimko (6-5, Helix) versus Humanoid (5-6, Helix)
The season is likely on the line for the Humanoid in what I have bille dthe game of the week in the eSFL!
With a win the Legendary team positions themselves for the playoffs, with a loss they are likely out. The K's have had a wonderful season, one that would be best described as "the luckiest shit I ever seen". The Humanoid will wipe the computer screen with their asses this week!
Humanoid 187  K's 145

Wallies Texas Stars 134 versus Bakken Oilers 117

Dlugiewicz 134 versus Orange 167

Miami 134 versus Houston 212

Snoop 132 versus F.B. 131

Money 118 versus Flish 176

Psycho 176 versus Brady 134
