eSFL Insider, Week 9, 2010

ENJOY LIFE!
There are a lot of dead people who wish they had.........

This week the eSFL nation is in for a treat as Coach Pardue of the Bruisermakers will join us and discuss team issues, last weeks games, and provide keen insight into what to look for in this week’s matchups.

---By eSFL insider reporter Ines Sainz---

Ines: Coach first of I would like to say what an honor it is to conduct this interview, I have to start off by

asking do you think these pants make me look fat???...

Coach: UM…………Um………… why don’t we talk football?

Ines: I guess if you would rather do that.. Could you tell me about last week’s game with the McKinny Rednecks?  WOW it’s been reported that that was the closest game in eSFL history.

Coach: That ended up being a nail biter. The bottom line is we had 4 players that combined to total 1.5 points, you don’t deserve to win games with that type of production.

Ines: Do you see your team having a letdown this week after that performance?

Coach: I don’t believe so, I cut some of the rift raft WRs that were on the roster. I think that lit a fire under the rest of the team. No position is safe, if you don’t perform you don’t belong on the roster. C’mon, 3 Wr and just 1 catch between them.

Ines: What about your QB situation?

Coach: Well we are ecstatic to have Mike Vick back. We are just hoping he is fully recovered from his injury. Luckily Stafford stepped it up last week , so we are looking strong at the position for the rest of the season, barring further injuries of course.

Ines: Frank Gore will not suit up this week does that concern you?

Coach: Frank has been our most consistent player, we are going to get him some rest and get him ready for the championship run. The rest of the team is ready to throttle it up this week.

Ines: you sound confident that you will make the play-offs, and play for the championship.

Coach: I think I have built a solid team, but we still have five tough games ahead, I feel we need to win at least three of those to lock down a spot in the playoffs.

Ines: We’ll let’s talk about this week’s matchups:

Ines: You get Temp’s Texas Boys this week.

Coach: The Boys have fallen on bad luck losers of 4 consecutive games. Peyton Manning will have to carry the team this week as DeAngelo Williams, Joseph Addai , Derrick Mason and Donald Driver are all injured. His defense is looking solid this week, even without Patrick Willis in the lineup. I think this may be close…… at halftime anyway, but in the end I don’t think the Boys will be able to keep up.

Bruisermakers 150 - Boys 125

Ines: Lets’ look at action in the Appalachian Conference, first up, Fields Fanatix Vs. Perdew Pulverizers

Coach: Unfortunately I haven’t followed this conference too closely, yet it looks as though the Fanatix are only one game out of first place. The team has an impressive 6-3 record. I think Tom Brady will continue to be just average, his RB tandem of Tolbert and Michael Bush are nothing special, 2nd and third string on most teams. The bright spots for the team will be his WR and Def. I see T.Owens and Braylon Edawrds getting a ton of targets, if they can only catch them. The Fanatix D is a lock for 60 points this week.

The Pulverizers come into the matchup at 4-5 and really needing a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive. I think Phillip Rivers will have his best game of the year this week, he’ll drop 40 points. Also returning to the line-up are L.McCoy and J. Maclin, both players should easily put up 25 points. His receiving corp as a whole are looking great. I feel an upset this week

Fanatix 130 – Pulverizers 175

Ines: What about those G Man and Kavanators

Coach: I think this game will be a lot closer than many are expecting it to be. The G-Man will not have the services of Chris Johnson this week and will be relying on Ryan Matthews and J. Best to carry the team. You just have to wonder which one will be injured first. The team has also decided to start QB Derek Anderson this week. Maybe being benched for the past few weeks gave Anderson time to think about his glory year a few years back. I don’t think he returns to form.

The Kavanators get Ray Rice and DeSean Jackson back. The team looked really lost last week without them only putting up 99 points in their losing effort. I think Rice will get on track this week he puts up 40. Unfortunately Ronnie Brown is probably better left on the bench. The WR group looks good on paper but I don’t see any big performances this week. Again this will be a close one. I think it will come down to who has the better Defense’

G-Man 120 – Kavanators 125

Ines: Talk about having a bad year what about the 0-9 Vigilante? Will they get their first victory this week against Whitmore Workhorse?

Coach: As strange as it might sound I believe it will happen this week. They are catching the Workhorse without their top two RBs S. Jackson and K. Moreno. WR Dieon Branch is banged up. I think Workhorse’s D will keep it close, but in the end I think we will have a 1-9 team.

Vigilante 127 – Workhorse 120

Ines: Let’s talk about this week’s non division game. A team you, for obvious reasons, have no lost love for the D Crownholders, will take on the Texan Bruisers.

Coach: This is the late game, I already have plans to sit back, drink a few, and watch D-Crownholder get their asses handed to them. We have had the worst luck against that team. I’m really enjoying their 2-7 season. It looks like they won’t be around to knock us out of the playoffs his year. I’m guessing Coach Kazima is a Jets fan. Starting Sanchez, LT and Santonio Holmes. There are just not enough balls to go around for any of them to do anything special this week. The Bruisers are bringing the Eli and S. Smith connection this week, those two have nice chemistry going, I see 60 points combined from them. My favorite start of the week has to go to Danny Woodhead. I don’t think this will be a close game at all.

Bruisers 145 – D Crownholder 107

Ines: Two teams you have recently played McKinney Rednecks and Frost’s Furrious Flurries will face each other. Do you think this will be a nail biter?

Coach: I have a feeling this will be the game of the week. These two teams are tough, they don’t give up. We were happy to get one win out of the two weeks. These two teams will most likely be in the playoffs this year. It wouldn’t break my heart to see one of them start a losing streak. I think both of these teams are capable of putting up 180-190 points this week. The Rednecks get Micheal Turner and Tony Gonzales back, those two along with Arian Foster and Marques Colston, who seems to be waking up for the second half of the season, will be too much for A. Peterson and the Flurries.

Rednecks 190 – Flurries 180

Ines: The last match up of the week is a family affair Boot Hill Balut Vs. Zima Ruskies. Do you think Coach Rhodes experience wins this one?

Coach: You have to hand it to coach Rhodes he has managed to hold his up and down team together this year. It was rumored he was seriously considering retirement after our week 5 matchup that we won by 110 points. His team just quit playing. It looks like he has them focus again. I’m not sure what he has in store for Zima this week right now he has A. Rodgers, Reggie Wayne Calvin Johnson and L. Blount all on the bench. It must be a smoke screen to throw Zima off his game plan. The Zima squad is looking strong this week I think Drew Brees, D. Mcfadden and A. gates may be too much for the current roster Balut has starting. If he changes things up it could be close.

Boot Hill Roster A 90 – Zima 147

Boot Hill Roster B 150 – Zima 147

Ines: Coach Pardue I would like to thank you for your times today, are you ready to answer my first question?

Ines: Well what do you think………..

Coach: I think I love Female reporters.
