Week 11 ESFL Insider

By Bruce Fields

Week 10 in the ESFL didn't turn out any big surprises. The teams that should have won, won. However, with playoff implications on the line each win is critical. The Global Division teams are fighting tooth and nail. With three teams knotted up at 5-6, the last playoff spot may come down to tiebreaker system.

The Appalachian Division playoff race will also be close. The Pulverizers are looking to win out and hope along the way that the Kavanators or Fanatix falter. The Kavanators have been on a tear as of late and I don't foresee them loosing another game. Therefore, the Pulverizers need some help from the Fanatix if they have any chance of making the playoffs.

Now let's take a look at this weeks matchups, brought to you by:

Pulverizers VS G Man

The Pulverizers are looking for a big game from Phillip Rivers. That alone will not be enough. He will also need solid production from his RBs. G Man will be looking to ride the coattails of Chris Johnson and Jermaine Gresham. God knows that Derek Anderson isnt going to get it done. I predict the Pulverizers to pull out a convincing win: 162-114.

Vigilante VS Kavanators

As of late, the Kavanators have proved that they are a force to be reckoned with! They are solid in every position. Ben Shitburger could prove to be the biggest surprise. Look for big games from Ray Rice and Desean Jackson. I dont see anything positive from the Vigilante squad. Therefore, my prediction is Kav wins in a landslide: 184-97.

Workhorse VS Bruisermakers

Whitmore is just doing enough to linger around. His team has potential to put up big numbers each week, but they have been inconsistent. The only consistency on this team seems to be Joe Flacco. You can expect that to continue. Pardue on the other hand has a great team. He has the best record and has scored the most points in the league. I expect Michael Vick to come down from his high and join the rest of us here on earth. Roddy White will continue to impress and provide invaluable production. Look for Vick to lead the Bruisermakers into a dogfight this week but I give Whit the edge 157-150.

Crownholders VS Rednecks

The Crownholders have all but given up. I will keep this short and sweet. Rednecks win in a landslide 177-84

Ruskies VS Flurries

Zima is coming off an embarrassing win last week by edging out G Man 113-111. You can expect more of the same this week. Matt Forte will have a horrible game and Drew Brees will throw 3 interceptions. Antonio Gates will be the only player keeping Zimas head above the water. Frost will get big numbers from Miles Austin and Adrian Peterson and take down the Ruskies 142-124.

Games of the Week:
Brought to you by:

Global Division

Balut VS Texas Boys

Both teams are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive. The ol ball coach will look to reach into his bag of tricks and pull out a victory. He will need a lot of help from Aaron Rodgers and Reggie Wayne. Temp can expect good games from Peyton Manning, Peyton Hillis, and Anquan Boldin which will result in a victory over the Balut: 149-128

Appalachian Division

 Fanatix VS Bruisers

Early in the season the Bruisers handed the Fanatix their first loss. Now both teams are fighting for a lead in the division. I will also keep this one short and sweet. Fanatix must win and will win: 147-131.
