The eSFL II might not have had the following as it's parent league eSFL does, but for one person it was the greatest thing since the invention of the car. Team Middle Finger U ended the football season as eSFL II champions ending a four week season that was really never in doubt.
FINAL STANDINGS
The U started the season off with a bang in week one by opening a large cushion between the rest of the pack. Calvin Johnson posted 45.1 and Drew Brees added 42.64 to put the team in first place, a spot they would never relinquish. In week two Drew Brees returned with his final performance of the season and scored 49.58 points and tight end Vernon Davis made his season debut by throwing in 37 points. Not to be overlooked was the play of defensive back Lardarius Webb who contributed 26. 173 points for the week gave the team a two week total of 298.22, what turned out to be only 20 points away from the required score to beat out the second place TD's-N-Beer unit.Week three proved just as fruitful as the previous two had for the frontrunners, scoring a week top score of 109 points and all but ending any hope held by the competition. Vernon Davis led the team with 26 and Frank Gore made his impact on the league with a respectful 19.Going into the final week all competition had lost interest, thrown in the towel, and went home without a word of encouragement or discouragement. The U pounded the league into submission in weeks one through three and the final week was nothing but a requirement. It turned out to be the only week the U wasn't the high score leader for that week, but the damage had already been done and it was of little consequence. TD'S-N-Beer led the week with 73 points but finished in second over 100 points short of a championship. The first ever eSFL II season might not have been the most exciting fantasy football event in history, but for coach Rhodes it was a nice touch to a tough eSFL season in which his team failed to make the playoffs with an 8-6 record.
